1.Finely Grated carrots – 4 cups
2.Sooji(semolina) – 1 cup
3.Almonds – 12-15 nos( soak for 2-3 hours peeled and grind it into fine paste)
4.Sugar – 2 cups
5.Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
6.Clarified butter or Ghee – 4-5 tbsp
7.Desiccated coconut – 1 cup
8.Milk powder – 3 tbsp
9.cashews and dried grapes


Fry some cashews and dried grapes in 2 tbsp of ghee and keep it aside. In the same ghee, roast sooji till the raw smell goes and keep it aside. Add 2 tbsp of ghee, grated carrots, almond paste and 1 1/2 cups of sugar and mix well. Cover it and cook in a medium flame till the carrot becomes soft then add 3 tbsp of milk powder and roasted sooji, 1 tsp cardamom powder and the remaining 1/2 cups of Sugar. Mix all the ingredients and cook until you get the kneading consistency. Add the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee and mix. Switch off the flame and let it cool for some time. Add the roasted cashews and grapes and make small balls and roll it in desiccated coconut.
