Biryani comes with many different varieties. but among all the biryani recipes, prawn biryani is the most versatile biryani recipe.
- 300 gm prawns shelled, cleaned and washed
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1/2 cup onion paste
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup cream
- 2 Tbsp coriander leaves chopped
- 1/4 cup fried onions oil to pan fry
- 1 cup rice boiled till almost done
Mix ingredients like chilli powder,turmeric,salt, ginger, garlic, onion, garam masala ,1/2 cup yogurt and marinate the prawns in it, for 1/2 an hour.
heat some oil in a pan and saute the prawn mixture into it over a high heat and continue until it turns to brown color.
After brown color appears turn off the heat.
Mix yogurt,cream,coriander,and half the fried onions.
Place 1/2 the rice in a greased pan in a layer.
After add the prawn mixture in a layer over this.
Slightly cover with the rest of the rice.
Seal the pan and place over low heat for 20-30 minutes.
Garnished with the fried onions and serve it.
